This 2.4 million Euro project was started in December 2008, and expected to be complete around September 2010. The task has been undertaken to help reduce the erosion of the beaches due to the effects of global warming.

This palm tree was some 4 storeys high, and swayed proudly for decades in this village during the seldom windy periods that this Spanish pueblo endures.
