Costa Tropical Motorway Progress

The Costa Tropical stretch of the new A7/E15 coastal motorway is well underway, as can be seen from the photographs taken in November 2009. The two new tunnels sitting between La Mamola and Haza de Trigo are now completed, and works is also at a similar stage above Melicena.

Sad But True !!!

Sadly, due to high winds in late 2008, the oldest and tallest palm tree in La Mamola has been cut down. This palm tree was some 4 storeys high, and swayed proudly for decades in this village during the seldom windy periods that this Spanish pueblo endures.
