Costa Tropical Motorway Progress
The Costa Tropical stretch of the new A7/E15 coastal motorway is well underway, as can be seen from the photographs taken in November 2009. The two new tunnels sitting between La Mamola and Haza de Trigo are now completed, and works is also at a similar stage above Melicena.
New Spanish Mobile Phone Numbers
It was recently announced that the next batch of mobile telephone numbers to be released in Spain will start with the number “7″. This will provide a additional 80 million telephone numbers.
Sierra Nevada Motorway
A government bill was passed tis week announcing that the current name of the Sierra Nevada Motorway (the A44) be changed to “Costa Tropical@ motorway. Hoteliers and the board of Tourism welcomed the change and it is hoped that this will in turn improve the profile of Tourism in the area.
Skiing Season Soon Opens!

Salobrena Town Hall Siege!
A local shepherd turned up in Salobrena town centre with 200 of his goats, and let them loose in front of the town hall. He took this line of action in protest to the town hall putting an embargo on his property, due to the shepherd allegedly building an illegal construction without the necessary permissions.
