Polopos Wine Festival & Bike Race

Last Sunday 29th March 2009 the party was in action. The day started out in La Mamola on the Costa Tropical coastline with a team of cyclists leaving from in front of the newly built Town Hall (Ayuntamiento) up to the mountain village of Polopos. The cyclists really had a challenge with the 16km route of which 10km was up steep winding roads.

Later in the day the festivities began, there were a number of stalls all selling typical Andalucian products, a large paella, dancing with a live band and most importantly a free wine fountain which was erected in the centre of the village.
