Why Choose Costa del Sol as oppossed to the Costa Tropical?

With the lack of massive tourism and scams on the Costa Tropical it is clear why many people are choosing this unspoilt destination on the Southern Coast of Spain.

On the Costa Tropical you live in an environment that is typically Spanish in many areas and does not have the huge amounts of building and urbanisations of its ugly neighbour, the Costa del Sol.

Having read the a local paper to the Costa del Sol it is clear that desperation levels have grasped the coast to record levels.

Pensioners and people above 55 years old should be warned of the latest scam with is the “Let to Buy” (no!) or “Acquire the right to use and to inhabit” a property.

Would be investors are being offered properties (usually on Urbanisations) at 35% of their cost. Amazing! If this amount is paid then you pay no Community Charges, building insurance or local contributions, even more amazing! The problem being is that the prices are sky high, so a property with an alleged value of 450,000 Euros is yours for only 35% of this price.  Once you have paid this amount you have the right to live in it until you pass away but then you own nothing so your inheritence is gone.

This is legal in Spain and regualted under Article 523 of the Civil Code which will obviously be certified by a reputable lawyer.

Be careful this is a route for disaster, you can use your savings for a property that you do not own and will probably not be able to sell!
